Got 5 minutes to create a better life?

With the hustle and bustle of day-to-day tasks, it can be hard to find the time to meditate and be in that quiet space that allows answers to flow through.

Which is why I created The Secret Formula and The Bright Future Workbook.

I needed something for myself that would allow me to consciously use universal laws to my own benefit.

It’s far too easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of the day to take time for these things.

However, I have found that if I take 5 or 10 minutes first thing in the morning and/or before bed to do the following, I’m able to feel more peaceful, accomplish a lot more, and constantly move in a positive direction.

To be prepared for your 5-10 minute creation time, you must first have a file that you can access from anywhere that has a few important items listed there.  I use “Notes” on my cell phone for this.

First, create list of things that make you happy.  If you find yourself feeling stressed, down or cranky during the course of the day, go back to this list.

Next:  Create 3 separate paragraphs indicating 1) what you currently want, 2) what you want in the near future, and 3) what I want down the road.  Give each list a short name.

This will be the most time consuming thing that you do, but it is well worth the effort.  To change things, you must know what you want!  The content of this file may be changed and modified as you go along, and that’s perfectly okay, but you must have something positive that you can focus on when you start to slip into a negative state of mind.

Okay, now for the 5-10 minute process.

The Secret Formula!  Keep it quick, keep it simple.  If you’re in a hurry, focus less on the negative emotions and more on what you do want.

Break step 4 down into 3 sub-steps, which essentially is “The Power Pause”.

  1. Think of something that makes you happy for 1 minute.
You can go to your list, or you can think of a time when you had something similar to what you want.
  2. Imagine yourself having what you want for 1 minute.  You might go to your “what you currently want” paragraph, or one of the others.
  3. Feel grateful.

Now go back to step 5 of The Secret Formula and ask “If the creation of “named goal” were to happen in the highest and best way, what action might I have to take in order to get there?”

And now just notice.  Your days should be less about thinking and more about noticing.  Whenever you catch yourself stuck in worrisome thinking, go back to your list of things that make you happy, read through your goals and go back to noticing the signs the universe will start showing you to answer your question.

Try this for a few days and let us know how it’s working for you!

      1. in the section titled “Got 5 minutes to create a better life” where it goes through the details of what is called “The Secret Formula” I only see details listed as number 1,2 and 3.

        1. Oh… I see… the article is a bit confusing. The steps to The Secret Formula are actually under the Menu item Members Only and then The Secret Formula.
The article is actually breaking down step 4 into 3 sub-steps for even greater effectiveness.
          Does that make sense?
